35

In case I never get around to taking a more attractive picture this week, here I am at 35.5 weeks.
I think I'll just wear Jacob's clothes for the remainder of my pregnancy.

I had an ultrasound on Tuesday, and she said my baby weighs about 5 and a half pounds. Already?! That's nuts.

A Day in the Life

> To school by 8 AM.

> Work, study, class until at least 6 PM. Have I mentioned that I got Jacob a job at the HLRC? The best job ever just got even better. Now I have someone text, "Luna Lovegood" when a wide-eyed, long-haired blond comes into the lab. Class and study, less fun.

> At some point (or several) during the day I usually do something really stupid or forget something important, and Jacob reassures me that I'm "just a little spazzy" because I'm pregnant.

> Get home and eat something not very good, because I don't have time to make a real dinner before my baby-growing body gets really mad at me. Catch up on my shows or do more homework (pinterest) or read until Jacob comes home around 9 or so.

> We usually finish the day off with a cereal party (not really a party--just two or more people eating cold cereal at an inappropriate time) and an episode of Dateline or any other show centered on true crime.

> In bed by 10:30, sometimes earlier.

And that's how I became a 75-year-old before my 22nd birthday. I'm not even sorry about it either.

Luckily my block class ends this week which means I'll be able to go home at 2:00 instead of 6:00 which means I can cook real food again! And take naps!

Valentiny Things

Lately it feels like we never have a free second, but on Saturday afternoon Jacob took a little break from work/school/studying to take me out for buy-one-get-one-free Smashburger and a Dairy Queen ice cream cone! Yes, we're poor college kids even on holidays, but even just going out to eat is a treat these days.
Later that evening we went to Jake and Brittany's "Palentines" (like pals...get it?) party. I made these little ice cream cupcakes for it. They turned out a little sad, but it was a cute idea, right?! There was a lot of good company and yummy treats at the party, and we even got to decorate sugar cookies!

<==== 33-Week Belllllly

On for real Valentine's Day, I surprised Jacob with a big bag of his favorite "treat"--chips! I put lots of cheesy little love notes to correspond with each type of chips.

Always the one-upper, Jacob got me these cute maternity sewing patterns. I'm so excited to make them, even if I don't finish in time for this pregnancy. He also tried to make me a card on InDesign. It turned out giant, because he couldn't figure out how to print it. Love it!

Once we got done with school that evening, we went to the temple with our friends Hailey and Jordan. Then we went to eat at Diego's. It was a great way to top off our Valentine's Day.

Sunday Drive

It's a lot easier to appreciate Provo now that I know we won't be here forever.

Even when this happens...

until I have to walk to campus in it. Time to apply for a handicap parking permit.

Confessions, Pt. 1

Imagine Usher's "Confessions" playing right now. It's about to get personal.

-It usually takes me at least 3 tries to get the word verifications things right. One time I even pushed the handicap button, but the audio verification was even trickier.

-Opening canned biscuits scares me. I jump every time.

-It's getting pretty hard to shave my legs, so I decided today would probably be the last time I do before this baby comes. Instead of being grossed out by that, I just thought "meh.. I've gone longer"

-Saying I'm a sucker for trashy reality TV wouldn't be much of a confession--that's common knowledge. What's really embarrassing is that I may have gotten teary-eyed during the season finale of Kourtney and Kim take New York.

and there's more where that came from.

Jacob says:

"Hey, check it out! I just made the cuddle box 10 times cooler!"

Yes, he turned one of the cushions into a divider. Ten times cooler=cuddle prevention.
Ok, maybe it's more to prevent me from punching him while we play Mario Party on 50 turns.

We love each other.

31 weeks

Here we are at 31 weeks. Time is flying!

I figured out that the Photobooth camera on the Mac adds about ten pounds, so that explains why the pictures from a few weeks ago look even bigger than these... anddd I won't be using that for full body shots anymore.
And don't be worried that I'm like "uhh, I'm so fat. I hate my body." I'm actually amazed (and maybe a little weirded out) with my body and the fact that it's capable of growing a human! It's just a little difficult to dress my drastically changing figure, especially on a student budget. Aside from that and recently being introduced to heartburn, no complaints here! (Though, my husband may tell you otherwise).
