Any day now

Only 4 more days til my due date! Even though due dates don't actually tell you much at all, it is nuts that baby will be here sometime pretty soon. We feel about as prepared as we'll ever be (which isn't all that much), went to what could be our last midnight showing together, and I'm running out of shirts that fit.

Remember in Toy Story when the toys are looking to see how big the gifts are, and then Slinky is like, "Hey there's a nice little one over there....AHHHHH!"

It's pretty much the same thing.

Also, I got a package in the mail from my sister that had this cutest hoodie in it for when the babe is a little bigger:

I had pinned it here, so she just went ahead and made the exact same thing.

She also made this cute BYU blanket, which I know must have been a sacrifice since they're a family of Utah fans.

Everybody is so nice to us! I'm just feeling really lucky these days.

I made a dress, and I'm getting real large

So I did find some time to use the sewing patterns I received for Valentine's day. I made a skirt and combined two of the patterns to make this dress.

And the dreaded profile shot...

I spent most of my pregnancy hoping this kid would come pretty late so I could get most of the semester done before he's here, but I've reached the I'm-so-done-with-being-pregnant phase. It's just not comfortable! (and, of course, we're getting really excited to meet baby)

Baby Shower #2

I got double lucky and had another baby shower thrown for me by some of Jacob's family! I did a bad job of capturing pictures since I was trying to be social and all, but it was so much fun.
There was a fantastic sit-down brunch prepared by Jacob's grandma, a few cute games, and a lot of good company. My aunt and cousin even came all the way from Logan, and I was so happy to get to talk to them even though it was only for a second.

We got so much cute stuff for baby, and we're especially happy about the gift that Jacob's mom and some other family members went in on, because it wasn't in the college-kid budget!

We've really been so blessed with how much we haven't had to buy. Between the two showers and Jacob's sister letting us use all her baby stuff, we've been handed almost everything we need. It's an affirmation that we're not totally out of our minds; I've worried that we can't really afford to be having a baby right now, but everything just ends up working out! Thanks to everybody who's been an answer to prayers with all the support and help and giving. I don't say it enough, but it really does mean so much to me (and Jacob too).

another one of these

Yike, stripes!

This complementary bump update is dedicated to my friend Olivia who likes belly pictures probably even more than I do (I like other people's. Not my own).

Right now I'm so in love with this prenatal yoga and the super hippy lady narrating it. She makes me feel a lot better about giving birth... and holding squats for 5 minutes. Hey lady, come here when I go into labor!

I also love that while I've never felt so huge, I've never had so many people call me "tiny". Some weird pregnancy paradox. Can't complain.
Now I've got a date with girl scout cookies, Downton Abbey, and some sewing patterns--next best thing to my husband, who often works on Friday nights.
