Easter

On Easter morning we woke up and prepared each others' baskets. We had pretty much picked out all of our own treats, but Jacob being the sneaky sneakster that he is surprised me with a new camera! We had been using our phones or the video camera for pictures, and it's pretty embarrassing to have to carry your video camera around.

I spent most of the morning making these rolls for our Sunday School class. Then we picked up Heather and went to Shannon's house to have an Easter egg hunt with Viv.

After church, we went over to the Mead Grandparents' for dinner and games. It was a perfect day (except when 2 other Sunday school teachers dumped their kids into our class last minute and they wouldn't stop talking. and I got my feelings hurt. besides that)

lots of good things

On Friday night Jacob brought flowers to the door and asked me if I would go to the Stake Valentines Dance with him...after I whined at him all week about how we were going and he would be happy about it (we actually had friends to go with us this year!)

On Saturday, he took me to Salt Lake to see Sleeping Beauty. I LOVED it, but it had a little "too much dancing and not enough plot" for Jacob. Not only did he sit through 2.5 hours of ballet, he missed the BYU/UofU game to be there! True love.
After the ballet we ran some errands and went to Krispy Kreme to get treats for our Sunday School kids, because look how cute those things are!
Then we went to Clay's birthday party. We always love socializing, and his wife made the most amazing chocolate and peanut butter cake. mmm

Remember how in Kate and Leopold (I stand corrected), her neighbor plays "Moon River" at the same time every night? Same thing here, except every night at 9 pm trumpets start playing. It's not half as pleasant as Moon River.

Last night I learned that I'm really bad at pool, but I like it.

Also, we got called to teach sunday school for the 14-year-olds (all boys). I'm kinda scared of them, since I was 14 probably a year ago. Pray for me.
