It's a (they are?)....

We finally got to find out what we are having! According to my gut feeling, here was how likely I thought each combo was

Boy/girl: 60%
Boy/boy: 38%
Girl/girl: 2%

So of course we're having two girls. And I would like to denounce any ounce of truth in any of the signs (wives tales) of carrying a certain gender, including "mother's intuition". Because up to this point, carrying two girls hasn't felt much different than carrying one boy. Aside from getting big faster, it's pretty much the same.

At first, I thought the ultra sound tech didn't know what he was talking about. Then when I accepted that he probably did, I was a tiny bit disappointed, just because I really really love my little boy and girls scare me a little. Oh and contrary to popular belief, girl names are not better. I had picked out some great boy names, and they can be handsome and classy but so far girl names just feel like they're trying too hard or are way too common. But then I looked at baby girl clothes and got really excited. I just hope they are best friends and don't get compared to each other or grouped into one unit.

Jacob still refuses to believe it, probably until we meet them in person. But I think he'll really like them when we do.

And we had to get cupcakes to celebrate and send pictures of.

So, according to your cupcakes, there will be a black girl and a white girl?

I am so excited for you! Don't be scared of girls-you will be great with them! Btw, I totally had a dream last night that we were hanging out and I found out that I was also pregnant with twins. Considering that I just had a baby a month ago, it was not the best dream for me...
