Day 29

Last night a couple in our ward's healthy 3-month-old baby boy passed away in his sleep. I can't really think of anything worse happening to someone. My heart has been hurting for them all day.

Whenever something like this happens, it leaves me with a lot of questions that will probably remain unanswered. But it also reminds me that life really is a miracle. And getting the opportunity to care for a perfect little spirit, for any length of time, is a blessing that I  don't ever want to take for granted.

This past year, my friend's 4yr.old died at home for no reason. So awful. You just wonder why and want answers. All we can do is trust that Heavenly Father has a plan, and we just can't see the whole picture yet.

I know Heavenly Father must be building a mighty army up there! I'm so grateful to be the mother of a perfect child- and it definitely makes me want to try harder. He definitely has a plan.

So heartbreaking. I don't know how close you are to this couple, but I came across this article today and thought it sounded like it might be something that could be beneficial to them at some point(if you feel inclined/comfortable in passing it along).

On a gospel note, so lucky we are to know about our Heavenly Father's plan. Answers may never come in this life. But that's part of the beauty of His plan; it allows us to put our faith and trust in Him as we lean on the Atonement for peace and healing. Hard to find that beauty so soon after a loss like they've experienced, I'm sure. It slowly but surely comes, though, and what a precious gift it is once it comes.
